AEWIN Joins Qisda Group’s Walking Program to Advance ESG Goals

Share:

Introduction

To align with ESG approaches including fostering employee well-being (Social) and raising awareness of sustainable practices (Environmental), AEWIN joined the Qisda Group’s 21-day online walking challenge to encourage staff to take at least 7,500 steps per day. The program demonstrates that simple daily actions driven by personal motivation and team encouragement can effectively contribute to wellness and environmental awareness.

Walking Together Toward ESG Goals

For 21 consecutive days, AEWIN employees actively participated in the group-wide walking campaign under the theme “Walk for 21 Days, 7,500+ Steps Daily.” Participants tracked their steps via mobile apps, setting personal goals and motivating one another through internal team chats.

The Qisda Group participants, including AEWIN, exceed expectations by achieving an average of over 8,600 steps per day. While the activity itself may not directly reduce carbon emissions, it symbolically promotes a low-carbon lifestyle by encouraging more walking over transportation. Based on the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s guideline (1.42 kg CO₂ reduced per 10,000 steps), the collective walking effort is estimated to have contributed to a carbon reduction of over 39 metric tons.

21-Day Results Overview Achievements Remark
Total Steps (All Participants) ~300 million steps ~2,000+ Loops Around Taiwan
Converted to CO₂ Reduction >39 metric tons 1.42 kg per 10,000 steps*

This campaign not only brought physical activity into employees’ daily routines but also emphasized that environmental protection can start in our footsteps. It encouraged cross-department participation, built awareness around carbon reduction, and reflected AEWIN’s alignment with Qisda Group’s long-term ESG strategies.

Summary

AEWIN’s strong participation in the 21-day walking challenge resulted in both a healthier workforce and meaningful promotion of conducting carbon reduction via more walking. It demonstrates that ESG can be driven by everyday efforts—one step at a time. Through collective effort and continuous action, AEWIN remains committed to building a greener, healthier future.
