The SCB-1943A is AEWIN’s 2U performant Network Appliance powered by single Intel 5th Gen Xeon Scalable Processor codenamed Emerald Rapids. It is a single-socket network appliance with up to 64 cores and 300W TDP. The SCB-1943A provides 8x DDR5 5600MHz memory slots and up to 8x PCIe 5.0 x8 slots at the front panel for AEWIN self-design NICs with 1G to 100G copper/fiber interfaces with/without bypass function.
There is additional 1x PCIe5.0 slot at the rear side of SCB-1943A ready for installing off-the-shelf PCIe Gen5 card to expand further function. The SCB-1943A provides the flexibility to change the 2x PCIe slots to 1x PCIe x16 slot for standard PCIe form factor. It can support 200G NIC card such as Nvidia Mellanox PCIe 5.0 NIC for high throughput and excellent performance.
To speed up data-loading, two hot-swappable U.2 NVMe SSD trays are available at the front panel. Customers can choose to have additional four SATA storages for high-capacity support. The mainboard itself also supports dual M.2 2280 NVMe SSD as high-speed OS boot devices. To deliver high performance for networking, the embedded Intel Data Streaming Accelerator helps to optimize the transmission and speed up streaming data movement by offloading compute-intensive operations from the CPU.
Regarding the reliability and cybersecurity, the SCB-1943A supports Trusted Platform Module (TPM2.0) to allow authentication of hardware devices to ensure the integrity of the hardware platform. Trusted Secure Boot is available via optional TSB V2 module (OT006B) to deliver firmware resiliency by monitoring, verifying, and automatically correction. Intel Software Guard Extensions (Intel SGX) can be enabled to isolate sensitive data and protect them from attack. Moreover, there is enhanced Intel QuickAssist Technology (Intel QAT) to accelerate data encryption, compression and decryption for secure content delivery.
